What a little big day…

January 20, 2009 at 6:06 pm (Uncategorized)

Today was big.  We got a new President.

Today was little.  Munchkin got her tadpole in the mail.

About the Pres.: I am going to try to commit to praying for him.  Sounds dumb I know but I mean really praying.  Not like “God please make this man great” but more like “God please move through this man, shine through this man, provide hope through this man, be evident to people through this man”.  I am glad to have a president with some color in his skin.  (P.S.  I didn’t vote for him <no hate mail accepted>, but I will support him.)

About the Tadpole: Maybe I can convince her to name him Tad.  :) *fingers crossed*  (P.S. Prayed for Tad too cause he is laying on the bottom of his “tad-pool”.  Swim. Tad. Swim. Hurry before Muchking gets back home.)  Umm….Tad had a long day.  I wonder how long he was in the mail since yesterday was a holiday?  I will call it a miracle that he was alive when he arrived.  Will post an update on Tad soon if anyone cares.

That would be me.  I am so stinkin’ excited ’cause I just got the laptop my mom got me for Christmas.  Can’t wait to surf from bed!  Then Marcus can’t get mad ’cause I am on the computer and not in bed.  This will take our relationship to a whole new level.  giggle.  giggle.  Thanks Mom!!!

A New Stage in Life.

December 19, 2008 at 11:09 pm (Uncategorized)

guineapigAfter a certain amount of time when a woman can’t have a child it is possible that she will begin a new stage in life as a guinea pig.  They are cute and all but I never really wanted to be one.  Sure I’ve read about all the stuff that women go through to have babies but its a little different when its you.  They want to draw how much blood?  and they want to put dye where?  and they want me to eat those pills?  and those pills are going to make me gain how much weight?  oh and not to mention they may make me a raging lunatic.  Lovely.  Peachy keen.  Couldn’t be happier.  Hope this stage of life is short.  God is good… all the time… (even to little creatures like guinea pigs).

Marcus and I are headed out to the House of Blues tonight to see Willie Nelson. I thought I wasn’t going to get to go and Marcus surprised me this morning with the tickets!!! What a great date night. Can’t wait to hear me some seasoned Nelson. Don’t even make fun of me I know you’re jealous.

P.S. Marcus isn’t necessarily a fan but he’s a trooper and a handsome date.

Thought…

Random thought today while driving:
If there was immediate gratification in everything, we would be passionate for nothing.

Here’s to hoping and dreaming and striving for things yet to come.

Waiting on Ike to come. We’ll see what happens. This is going to get dirty. Galveston is disappearing as we speak. Time to hunker down.

I cant wait for Ike to get here.  I am going to throw down with that SOB.  He has done enough crap!  Pretty sure I can take him.  He has got my undies in a wad and I am going to kick his @$$.  I’ll be the crazy lady out in the weather screaming and throwing punches toward the sky.  Thank goodness I know where I’m going when I die.
